At the tender age of 15, Mark
landed his first playing performance in his hometown of Gadsden,
Alabama, and then toured throughout the southeastern United States.
Following his graduation from high school, Mark was granted a two year
scholarship to Gadsden State Junior College in the Big Band Jazz
program. In 1985, with the encouragement from family and friends, Mark
accepted the opportunity to attend Berkley College of Music in Boston,
Massachusetts, majoring in film scoring and performance. Mark's southern
style was like a breath of fresh air in Boston, opening the door for
concert performances with faculty members at Berkley. After just nine
shows, Mark was granted a full scholarship, a stepping stone to a
dynamic music career. Mark began to record for music production and
engineering classes as a singer/songwriter developing and producing his
own original music.
Upon completing his five year program at Berkley in 1990, Mark moved
to Nashville. His career took off with the Gaylord Entertainment
Company's Opryland Theme park & Grand Ole' Opry performing with #1 show
Tim Watson & Black Creek. Mark's performances included several Grand
Ole' Opry Tourism Shows where he performed with many Opry superstars.
Mark displayed his versatile talents, performing favorite country songs
as well as original material on the Grand Ole' Opry stage. Mark is

Mark now owns and operates Studio 23, a twenty-four track recording
facility in Hendersonville TN. One can usually find Mark producing
master recording projects and fine tuning his craft. Mark has also
co-produced numerous records for major publishers such as BMG, Warner
Chappel music along with many independent labels. In addition Mark's
dynamic playing on various songwriter showcases created the opportunity
to co-write and produce song in the studio with many legendary
songwriters from established & publishing companies. Mark has written
songs with Hank Cochran, Red Lane, Steve Clark, Mark Peterson, Jim
Foster, Don Goodman, Beverly Ross and Mark Gray among others. He is a
published writer with Co-Heart Music, Warner Chapel, Double J Music,
Opryland Music and others. In 1992 he founded his own publishing company
Marcus Alan Music (BMI) and currently has a song called " I Know You
Hear Me" on Engelburt Humperdink's latest album titled "After Dark".
Mark has recently open for The Little River Band, Bo Diddly, Kansas,
Toby Keith and Alabama at Riverfest in Gadsden, Alabama. Mark has
performed 10 times on various European tours since 1997 Touring France
at a large festival in Craponne, France and at the Country Picnic in
Poland, a four day festival with more than 10.000 people a day with Live
TV. Also performing in Holland for Western Lifestyles TV and in Bomal
City Belgium, Mark had a club performance at Billy Bob's in Paris at
Disneyland Paris performing with Moody Brothers. Marks music video
"Betty's Beauty World" was airing with over nine million projected
viewers on CMT in Europe and the UK for 6 months until CMT Europe went
off the air. This lead to distributing 1000 CD's to a very large fan
base in Europe and is promoting his new CD Mark Dreyer "24-7-365"
through Radio and a new distribution deal in the FNAC record store in
Paris France. On December 17th of 1999 Mark will return for his 4th
performance in Holland and secure several theme songs for Western
Lifestyles TV program and Country Line Dance Machine.
His dedication to
quality and producing the absolute best available results in all aspects
of productions, pre and post, is what has established him as one of the
best "new" generation producers in Nashville.
